James Hill - Biography (100 words)

Putting the “eh” in “`ukulele” since he was a wee keiki, James is considered a “rare peer” of Hawaii’s premier `ukulelists with a “world-class command of the instrument” (John Berger, Honolulu Star-Bulletin) who’s latest CD, A Flying Leap, is a “tour de force” mix of jazz, classical and folk influences (Yvonne Zacharias, Vancouver Sun). James, “one of the world's top composers for the [`ukulele] and probably the best player on the planet” (Rafe Mair, 600AM Vancouver), has delighted audiences across Canada and around the world with a “beautiful, humorous and virtuosic” style all his own (David Kidney, Green Man Review).
