James Hill & Anne Davison
True Love Don't Weep

James and Anne's duo debut True Love Don't Weep is an eclectic offering of tunes new and old, original and re-discovered. Poignant songs are punctuated by quicksilver instrumentals and raucous sing-a-longs; ukulele, banjo, cello, voice, guitar, brass and winds entwine through 12 tracks that resonate unabashedly with bluegrass, old-time, dixieland, gospel, and blues influences.

A Flying Leap (2006)

A Flying Leap is James' debut on the Borealis record label. Hailed as "a musical tour de force" by the Vancouver Sun, the album features a crop of original compositions alongside arrangements of Hendrix, Doane and Hadjidakis.

Features Uke Talk, Song for Cheri, and One Small Suite for Ukulele.

On the Other Hand (2003)

On the Other Hand is a departure in both style and substance from James' debut CD. Features nine original compositions including Fantasy for Ukulele and Eucalipstick. Other highlights include Misirlou, Ol' Man River, and the theme from Inspector Gadget. James is skillfully accompanied on nine of the thirteen tracks by longtime friend Mark Luongo on bass.

Playing it like it isn't... (2002)

James launched his solo career in 2002 with the release of Playing it like it isn't..., an acclaimed collection of arrangements that demonstrate the versatility and appeal of the ukulele.

Highlights include Flight of the Bumblebee and One Note Samba.
